Street Quality Atlas

One street edge at a time.

A street-facing companion to the Syracuse Property Atlas. It uses the same parcel database, points the camera down the road, and catalogs pavement, sidewalks, curbs, signs, utility poles, trees, hydrants, and visible public-right-of-way issues.

Atlas map

Street observations on the same parcel base.

The street layer reuses the Property Atlas coordinates, then adds street-facing captures and issue annotations. Orange points are captured parcels; direction rays show the camera headings.

Bounding boxes are normalized issue/object annotations from the vision pass. They are field notes for review, not official infrastructure findings.

Method

Property Atlas, rotated toward the street.

The workflow uses the existing parcel SQLite database and Google Street View image pipeline, then derives a road-axis heading from OpenStreetMap so the camera looks along the street instead of at the house.
